Throughout my life, I have acted as a keen observer, absorbing knowledge and education from the best sources available.
The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which I watched live on television, profoundly impacted me. Like every American parent, I went to school to pick up my children. The next day, I stood in line for five hours to donate blood, as many Americans did.


As a result of this barbaric terrorist attack, I, a Muslim by birth, felt a sense of guilt. This led me to embark on a mission to investigate my identity. Using my background as a legal and criminal investigator, I sought to understand Prophet Muhammad and his divine message. I questioned whether he was truly a prophet or someone with malevolent intentions that could allow such an atrocity to occur.


After approximately nine years of searching, I arrived at the sobering conclusion that all Muslim mosques, across their various kinds and branches, have disregarded the core divine message sent by God to Prophet Muhammad: peace in behavior and faith in God who resides within each of us. The word “Islam” holds no meaning other than peace and submission, and these two concepts are what inherently make every prophet a Muslim.
Instead of this divine message, which posits a direct relationship between each Muslim and God, all Muslim mosques have adopted interpretations based on messages God sent to Muhammad as a leader. These interpretations included laws suited to the harsh environment of establishing a nation in a challenging tribal area over fourteen centuries ago. The clearest evidence supporting my assertion is the renaming of Yathrib to Medina, with all the significant connotations that name carries.
